Judith wright (1915-2000)

The name of the poet we have been studying this week is Judith wright. She was born on 31 May 1915 In Armidale, New South Whales, Austarlia and died On 26 June, 2000 of a heart attack, shortly after attending an aboriginal reconciliation in Canberra. Judith Wright was well known for her poems about nature and life. 3 interesting facts about Judith is that 1. When wright was in her 20's she started to become progressively death 2. All her poetry were inspired by her experiences or the countries she was in at the time. 3. She was a passionate environmentalist who fought for her country and it's rights. She also fought to save rain forests, the great barrier reef and sand mining in Fraser island just to name a few. The poems we are studying in class at the moment by her are woman to child, bora ring and the surfer.
